The official name is Kanda shrine. It is a temple overviewing Tokyo for the past 1300 years.

It was built in year 730, and many of the war generals have been placed here to rest after death. The large battle os Sekigahara in year 1600, Tokugawa Ieyasu who have ruled 300 years came to Kanda Myoujin to prey for winning the battle.




After winning the battle, many good luck ceremonies start to be held at Kanda Myoujin after that until today.

Kanda Myoujin have three temples. "Ichinomiya" "Ninomiya" and "Sannomiya" Ichinomiya is for good luck meeting marriage. Ninomiya brings good luck for business. Sannomiya is for protective charm.


A very famous war general Taira Masakado who was known to protect the weak, was laid to rest here in 1309.

They have a famous traditional festival called "Kanda Matsuri" in May. If you have chance, enjoy the historical festival in Tokyo. * Kanda Matsuri (2015/5/7 - 5/15)
